Myofascial Decompression ("cupping") is an effective tool to release tension in the muscles and fascia. Selecting this service means that you want ONLY cupping for your session - there will be minimal hands-on work. Cupping is incorporated in other treatments at no charge. The cupping-only service is designed as a supplement to regular massage appointments, or for very specific work on chronic areas. We practice both dynamic cupping **Please note that you will likely have some circular, reddish marks for a few days after treatment. The marks are typically not sore or tender.

Mind/Body Maintenance Massage
-
Designed for regular massage clients seeking a "full body" massage. If you don't have any particular pain or areas of concern to work on, but want to have a more relaxing-oriented massage, select this option. This session may incorporate aromatherapy, soothing massage techniques, craniosacral therapy, more time on feet, scalp, and neck, etc - the goal is to get you out of your head, provide the traditional benefits of massage (improved circulation, blood pressure, dopamine/serotonin production, immune system support, etc) and leave you refreshed and ready to enjoy a nice long nap when you get home!
Janelle clearly knows what she's doing and it's evident that she loves what she does and has an intuitive, educated, and professional talent in alleviating all types of body aches. Out of many visits to different spaces (mostly overpriced ones thinking you get what you pay for), her techniques were the most therapeutic.. real "massage therapy."
I've been going to Janelle for quite a number of months now. Due to going to the gym a lot each week, my muscles all over my body can become knotted and tender. Since starting massage sessions with Janelle she's helped ease a lot of the pain and helped my body recover faster every time I got to her. She's super knowledgeable and you can tell she really loves her job and really wants to help people get better. She is a fantastic massage therapist, who listens to what you feel needs worked on or is causing the most problems.
I've been a massage therapist for many years and I can say that I've had a difficult time finding someone who has the knowledge, skill, and inherent gift for finding and effectively releasing the cause of dysfunction and chronic pain, like Janelle.

Cupping therapy is one of the oldest forms of alternative medicine in which a therapist puts special cups on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. People get it for many purposes, including to help with pain, inflammation, blood flow, relaxation, and well-being, and as a type of deep tissue massage. The suction created by the cups causes your skin and the underlying tissue to draw up into the cup. This process is thought to help with blood flow and relaxation. The suction may also loosen muscles, ease pain and inflammation, and encourage your body to create healthy circulation of nutrients.
At Kinetic Restoration we use medical grade silicone cups. We practice both dynamic and static cupping. Dynamic cupping is a method of moving the cups to create myofascial release. The sensation from dynamic cupping is very relaxing. For stubborn areas of congested tissue, the cups may be left in one area for up to 10 minutes. This is called static cupping. and may leave red, purple, or pink circular marks on your skin. Static cupping can be uncomfortable in the areas you have pain in for the first few minutes. As the cups release the muscular tension, the discomfort from the cups will lessen. This type of cupping may leave red, purple, or pink circular marks on your skin. These areas will not feel tender such as with a bruise, and in fact typically feel better because the congested area has been treated.

Cupping For Pain, Inflammation, Blood Flow & More
Cupping is often used to treat pain, including back and neck pain, headaches, and lower back pain. Some people use cupping as a way to relax and de-stress. It’s also a great treatment for TMJD because facial cupping is a lot "nicer" to receive than trigger point and deep tissue techniques on the muscles of the jaw and face. When cupping the face, there are NO MARKS left because the cups are kept moving the entire treatment. Cupping marks ONLY occur when the cups are left in one place on the skin. Book your cupping treatment today!
If you have any skin irritations such as psoriasis, ezcema, or a rash, cupping will not be used over these areas. Cupping is contraindicated for those on blood thinners or with frail skin. If you have cardiovascular or lymphatic health issues, please consult with us first.
