Selecting this service means that you want ONLY cupping for your session - there will be minimal hands-on work. Cupping is incorporated in other treatments at no charge. The cupping-only service is designed as a supplement to regular massage appointments, or for very specific work on chronic areas. We practice both dynamic cupping **Please note that you will likely have some circular, reddish marks for a few days after treatment. The marks are typically not sore or tender.
Mind/Body Maintenance Massage
Designed for regular massage clients seeking a "full body" massage. If you don't have any particular pain or areas of concern to work on, but want to have a more relaxing-oriented massage, select this option. This session may incorporate aromatherapy, soothing massage techniques, craniosacral therapy, more time on feet, scalp, and neck, etc - the goal is to get you out of your head, provide the traditional benefits of massage (improved circulation, blood pressure, dopamine/serotonin production, immune system support, etc) and leave you refreshed and ready to enjoy a nice long nap when you get home!
Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is used to treat chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Deep tissue massage therapy typically uses deeper pressure to release chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia.
There are a number of benefits to deep tissue massage, including reducing chronic pain, improving joint mobility, increasing flexibility, reducing muscle tension, improving circulation, stimulating the lymphatic system, and reducing stress and anxiety. Deep tissue massage is an effective treatment for a variety of conditions, including chronic back pain, osteoarthritis, muscle spasms, fibromyalgia, TMJ, and sciatica.
Deep tissue massage is usually performed with the client lying on a massage table, with the therapist using a variety of techniques to work the tissue. Deep tissue techniques are typically slow movements that leverage TIME along with firm pressure to release tension. For this reason, we focus on painful areas like shoulders, neck, and back in a 60 minute upper body session. If you choose a 90 minute massage, the therapist will have enough time to also work through the hips and legs. The therapist will use cream to help reduce friction on the skin. It is important to communicate with the therapist about any areas of discomfort. Pain and pressure is SUBJECTIVE and what feels very firm to one person may feel feather-light to another person.
Deep tissue massage is a wonderful way to relieve chronic pain and tension in the body. It is important to find a qualified therapist who has experience in performing this type of massage. At Kinetic Restoration, you will only be treated by qualified massage therapists. Book your deep tissue massage appointment today!
