The cupping-only service is designed as a supplement to regular massage appointments, or for very specific work on chronic areas. We practice both dynamic cupping **Please note that you will likely have some circular, reddish marks for a few days after treatment. The marks are typically not sore or tender.
Mind/Body Maintenance Massage
Designed for regular massage clients seeking a "full body" massage. If you don't have any particular pain or areas of concern to work on, but want to have a more relaxing-oriented massage, select this option. This session may incorporate aromatherapy, soothing massage techniques, craniosacral therapy, more time on feet, scalp, and neck, etc - the goal is to get you out of your head, provide the traditional benefits of massage (improved circulation, blood pressure, dopamine/serotonin production, immune system support, etc) and leave you refreshed and ready to enjoy a nice long nap when you get home!
Myofascial release massage is a type of massage therapy that is used to treat various musculoskeletal conditions. This type of massage therapy uses slow and gentle strokes to release the fascia, or connective tissue, that surrounds the muscles. This type of massage therapy is said to be beneficial for treating conditions such as chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and migraines.
What is fascia? It's the connective tissue that envelopes our muscular system. It is one continuous system of tissue. Imagine wearing a longsleeve shirt. Imagine that the upper part of the sleeve is pinned to your side. It would be hard to lift your arm, right? This is how myofascial restrictions can prevent your body from moving well, which often leads to pain and injury. Our myofascial release massage will help release fascial restrictions - book your session today!
Myofascial release massage is said to be beneficial for treating this condition because it can help to release the fascia that is surrounding the muscles, which can help to reduce the amount of pain and stiffness that a person is feeling. Myofascial release massage is also said to be beneficial for treating migraines. This type of headache is often correlated with the tightening of the muscles in the head, neck and upper back. It can help to release the fascia that is surrounding the muscles in the head and neck, which can help to reduce the amount of pain that a person is feeling.
Myofascial release massage can be beneficial for a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, migraines, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, and more. If you have any concerns about whether myofascial release massage is right for you, please consult our massage therapists at Kinetic Restoration. Book an appointment today!
